I have degenerative disc disease and this medication helps. It does not make me drowsy like some other muscle relaxers. It isn't quite as dramatic in it's effect but the alternative is worse; like taking Flexeril and having to sleep! Skelaxin works about the same if not a little better but is really expensive so I am glad this much less expensive alternate works for me. This medication allows me to function and receive some moderate relief.

John F

Prescribed Cyclobenzaprine 10mg for a short trial period to assist with relaxing undetermined back muscular pain. I would take it in the evening, and Cyclobenzaprine did help me relax, but did little for the pain. Weird though... every single instance, I would get a good night of sleep, but just be bitchy/moody/on edge the entire next day.

I've had Flexeril prescribed for back pain for many years now. It really work for me. The main side effect is drowsiness. Makes me really sleepy. For that reason, I take it before bedtime.

I have real bad muscle spasms especially during the time of the month due to me being an athlete. Robaxin been the only medication to help me and keep me functioning all day without being balled up on the floor crying.

I have bulging disc in thoracic area on my back. After 4 months of pain, 21 physical therapy appt., and Vicodin 3 times a day my doctor prescribed Robaxin. I've been 6days on it and its wonderful! No more Vicodin, sleeping all night again and 6hr. Work days. Loving it.
