I've been on alesse for almost a year now, and i have never had any problems with my period at all, it has always been regular. But this month, for some odd reason on my last day of the pill whic was satuday i started having this brownish discharge, i did not get that much but i've been having it for the past three days, and the discharge can vary from normal to clotty, and I am kind of worried I am suppose to be gettin my period tomorrow is this normal. Every one has been telling me it is the residue of my old period, and I did go to dominican last month wen I was on my period so maybe it is the temperature change? please if you have any info on what this might mean, it is kind of getting me nervous thanks.

I've been off birth control (the pill-Alesse) for several years. It caused awful bouts of reocurring gingivitis. I've had no negative side affects. I've very in tune with my body now & don't have to worry about when my cycle is going to start because it always start on time... that and the natural signals you body sends: bloating, breast tenderness, going into heat, PMS related mental breakdowns, etc. I've always been one to keep tampons everywhere at all times anyway. Wait, I guess that would be a negative side affect. Some months I do have serious PMS, I think I have that new thing, PMDD. I've never experianced this while on the pill (I was on the pill from age 14-22). But I don't believe in medication so I just sit & cry or play PS2 all day and mope... or shop. That PMS causes a shopaholic affect on me too.

I have been taken novelon tablets for 3 months for irregularitis of menstrutation. I have stooped this pill from last 1 months and i have now regular period. But i have gained 7 kgs weight.

The first couple of weeks definitely took some getting use Novelon. My stomach was upset especially before getting my period and I would feel super bloated way before my period was due. I'm almost 4 months in and the upset stomach and bloating has stopped except during actual periods. Other than that I really like it.
