Take bactrim exactly as your doctor has prescribed. Your doctor will tell you how much bactrim to take each day. The dose and length of time you have to take bactrim will depend on the type of infection you have.
For adults and children over 12 years, the usual dose is one tablet twice per day. For children under 12 years of age, the dose depends on the age and weight of your child. Your doctor or pharmacist will tell you how much your child should be given.
Take bactrim tablets with a glass of water after a meal. If you forget to take bactrim - do not take an extra dose. Wait until the next dose and take your normal dose then. Do not try to make up for the dose that you missed by taking more than one dose at a time.
Continue taking bactrim until your doctor tells you to stop.
The full course of bactrim prescribed by your doctor should be taken, even if you feel better after a few days. This will help clear your infection completely.
If your symptoms do not improve within a few days, or if they become worse, let your doctor know.
The first time I took Azithromycin, I did not experience any problems. I had bronchitis and for the longest time, I tried to look for the best medicine that can combat the condition. Finally. My doctor put me on Azithromycin. This medicine was the only one to treat my problem. If you use it correctly, this medication works wonders. Plus, it works very fast, so you don't have any problems with it.
I used to have a few number of pauples and at times an occasional pustules when I decided to go for this drug. But what it did was more harm than good.I saw no improvements at all. My skin literally went haywire. I started getting big pustules all over my cheeks and forehead and quite a few number of cysts as well. And those bastard cysts didn't forget to scar my face. So what I ask you people is to not go for this one. Antibiotics can also harm your skin as they kill good bacteria as well. If you still choose antibiotics, pick something from the tetracycline family. Azithromycin was never meant to treat acne.
I had an emergency cesarean section and got staples. I developed an infection in my incision and was prescribed Bactrim to take twice a day for fourteen days. By day ten I had a severe allergic reaction. I had a fever, chills and sweats, a migraine, joint pain, and a moderate rash. I had to stop breastfeeding to take this medication and it did not work. Do not recommend.
Started bactrim yesterday for the first time. Immediately noticed how strong it is! Prevented vomiting by only taking on a full stomach. Drinking a lot of water will help with the headaches as dehydration will cause this too. I don't recommend taking too late at night because of insomnia.
